What could be wrong with a 95 Buick Cent. When you turn the key and nothing happens?

There is no click as if the starter is bad, no power to the starter it seems. The car has fuseable links. The starter was tested good. So thats not it. It has no fuses, just the link. Which makes it hard to figure out. What could be wrong with a 95 Buick Cent. When you turn the key and nothing happens?Your neutral switch may be out. It has to be made or the car will not turn over. What could be wrong with a 95 Buick Cent. When you turn the key and nothing happens?

Meter the cable with the link and see if the link is blown... It is either that or a bad battery/connection...Make sure the battery is fully charged and hot...
I assume the battery is good.Check the battery clamp where the cable goes in.It can get corroded. Also check connections on your solenoid.Clean battery cable where it attaches to the starterWhat could be wrong with a 95 Buick Cent. When you turn the key and nothing happens?
It could be:

1] Battery is completely dead.

or 2] A bad ignition switch.

or 3] A bad neutral start switch.

Can soemone give your car battery a jump? If it starts then, you only have a dead battery.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh................?
Solenoid. Usually if the battery is low, it will make clicking noises or something.
Dead battery

Bad Solenoid
Change the battery?
does you ignition key have a chip in it? if so it is probably the ignition cylinder wire is broken and not being able to send they chip code to ecm which will prevent car from starting
If the instrument panel is lighting up and you do not hear the 'click' of the solenoid when you turn the key all the way to the 'start' position then you have a problem with you ignition lock cylinder. The person earlier is right in that the wires in the VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) ignition are toast. Another thing is if the little theft light on the instrument panel stays on when the key is turned. If this is the case you will need to have the ignition lock replaced, do not dispose of the old key until the new key is made for the new ignition lock. You can take it (tow) to a dealer, you can call a mechanic that has connections with a locksmith or some locksmiths will do the entire job. Depends on the area you live.

Whatever you do give the old key to them so that they can match the resistor value on the new key. It has to be the same as the old one the difference is now the key is 'cut' differently (to match the new ign lock) and your car will start (provided you don't have a problem with the ignition switch located at the base of your steering column..... Good luck
