Can You replace the crank sensor on a 1987 Buick Park Ave without taking off the harmonic balance?

If so, How?Can You replace the crank sensor on a 1987 Buick Park Ave without taking off the harmonic balance?no you must remove the balancer to get the sensor out but do you realise that the balancer could also be faulty this engine is a V6 if i am correct and many times the balancer goes out and makes the sensor fail with false readingsCan You replace the crank sensor on a 1987 Buick Park Ave without taking off the harmonic balance?yes you just have to turn the harmonic ballancer with a ratchet and socket slowly until you get the fins in a spot that you can maneuver the crank sensor out

a easy way to no for sure the crank sensor is bad is most of the time a car with a bad crank sensor will start and run great as long as you do not shut the car off but when you shut the car off it will not start until it cools down if you poor cold water on the crank sensor to cool it off than the car will startCan You replace the crank sensor on a 1987 Buick Park Ave without taking off the harmonic balance?nope you can,t! it has to be removed or the sensor won,t come off. you have fins on the balancer that straddles the sensor and it has to be removed befor you can change it.Can You replace the crank sensor on a 1987 Buick Park Ave without taking off the harmonic balance?
