Is a Buick truly a poor mans Cadillac?

Haha ok well I love both Buick and Cadillac their such nice cars. I saw a question on here that was similar to this one and someone answered "Ask Tiger Woods" which I found to be hilarious. I know the difference between the two. A Buick is a Cadillac that cost less and doesn't quite have all the bells and whistles. Do you guys have any better answers? Is a Buick truly a poor mans Cadillac?Cadillac tends to use more expensive materials and components in the vehicles, they also tend to use the latest technology whereas the Buick may use the technology that is on the leading edge of mainstream, or stuff that was on the Cadillacs from a few years ago. The Cadillac's often have their own set of engines/drivetrains as well, typically more powerful and high featured, whereas the Buicks tend to use drivetrains that are from the GM parts bin, for instance most Buick cars from the early 2000's used the traditional GM 3800 engine, but you wouldn't typically find that motor used in a Cadillac. You would find engines like the Northstar 32 valve V8 engines in the Caddy. Is a Buick truly a poor mans Cadillac?I guess it is.

So I guess a Toyota is a poor mans Lexus, Ford a poor mans Lincoln, Smart a poor mans Mercedes? But is that a bad thing? It's just different cars for different people with different price ranges. If people want to buy a car that's nice and comfortable but can't afford to pay thousands more for a Caddy, they can go to Buick. Is a Buick truly a poor mans Cadillac? What about Pontiac?????

I would say Chevrolet is a poor mans Cadillac and Buick is an old mans Cadillac(well then again a lot of seniors like Cadillac too).
