94 Buick Roadmaster estate wagon I notice little quarter size to half dollar size oil drips from the rear end?

(Axle) of the car . I had the rear axle flushed about a year ago. Also when I go in reverse while turning the wheel ( Backing out of parking spot) I can hear a grinding noise coming from the rear end of the car. It makes that noise maybe 50% of the time when I go in reverse.

Does anyone know what the most common problem may be?94 Buick Roadmaster estate wagon I notice little quarter size to half dollar size oil drips from the rear end?Your rear differential is leaking. You should have that checked by a mechanic because that grinding sound is your gears wearing out.94 Buick Roadmaster estate wagon I notice little quarter size to half dollar size oil drips from the rear end? You're leaking differential fluid, get it fixed asap.

Edit: Fix the leak - To replace the gasket, and refill the gear oil plus labor, it could cost about $200 - $300.

If your differential gears are shot, it could cost up to about $1,800 parts and labor.

Hopefully you'll just need the gasket and oil.94 Buick Roadmaster estate wagon I notice little quarter size to half dollar size oil drips from the rear end?I am fairly certain that the wagons were all limited slips. Its possible that who ever did the flush did not put the correct oil in. The limited slip requires a special oil or an additive. They should not make a noise going straight but could make quite a bit of noise turning so.
